AEDs are emergency medical devices that can help save lives in the event of cardiac arrest. When deployed, they send an electric current to the heart to help it reset itself from an ineffective rhythm.

AEDs may be used by any Cast Member or Guest in response to a cardiac emergency. No training or certification is necessary—the device will prompt the user with step-by-step verbal instructions.All AEDs deployed on a Disney Cruise Line ship are suitable for use on both adults and children. Doctors and nurses at the Health Center are also equipped with AEDs.

AEDs are located in high traffic areas, such as the theatres, pool deck, cabanas, spas and on select elevator landings. These emergency medical devices are housed in cabinets similar to those used to house fire extinguishers and display the AED symbol.To learn about specific locations, visit the Guest Services Desk, call their 24-hour Guest Services phone line or ask a Cast Member.

If you have your own EpiPen and you administer it, seek emergency medical attention immediately afterwards. Dial 7-3000 from a ship phone and notify a Cast Member.If you forget your EpiPen and suffer from life-threatening food allergies, EpiPens are available on a case-by-case basis at the ship's Health Center and at First Aid on Disney's Castaway Cay. If, in the event of an emergency, you do not have an EpiPen, notify the nearest Crew Member, or dial 7-3000 from any ship phone.

The Health Center is open during daily clinic hours to provide non-emergency medical care throughout your cruise.In the event of a medical emergency, a doctor and nurse are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additional fees for after-hours care will apply. Occasionally, due to the limited medical capacity on board the ship, it may become necessary for a patient to disembark the ship and be transported to a nearby medical facility. It may also be necessary that a member of the traveling party go with the disembarked Guest to the nearby medical facility.Guests are responsible for all medical fees incurred in the Health Center and will be charged automatically to the Guest's stateroom account. Medical services provided from the Health Center are considered care outside of home country and insurance is not accepted on board. Documentation of care will be provided, and Guests may submit claim requests to their personal insurance carrier or other travel insurance provider as needed.Prior to sailing, Guests should contact their insurance provider for validation determining whether their coverage includes reimbursement for care outside of their home country. Local medical facilities will almost always be considered care outside of home country. If your current policy does not cover this service, Disney Cruise Line recommends purchasing additional medical and evacuation coverage through your provider, and/or through other travel insurance that includes medical. Without proper coverage, fees incurred could be expensive and are due prior, or at the time of service. For minor first aid, the Health Center stocks over-the-counter medications, bandages and other remedies for quick relief. First aid and over-the-counter drugs are also available at the Guest Services Desk and at select onboard shops Guests who need to refrigerate medication may do so in their provided stateroom refrigerator.<h4>Sharps Container</h4>A small sharps container for the disposal of needles, syringes and lancets is located in each stateroom bathroom. If you need a sharps container in your stateroom and do not see one, please tell the Crew Member who attends to your stateroom and a container will be provided. Sharps containers are also located in public restrooms.

On the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the Health Center is located on Deck 1, Forward. On the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, the Health Center is located on Deck 1, Midship. Guests should complete online check-in on DisneyCruise.com at least one day prior to the sailing. During online check-in, Guests must choose a port arrival time. All Guests will go through a security screening process that includes bag X-ray and metal detectors prior to entering the terminal. Please be advised that the first 2 hours are typically the busiest and a later arrival time may be the least impactful. Staterooms are available after 2:00 PM. Other public venues, including restaurants, will be open upon embarkation.

To comply with international regulations regarding the safety of passengers at sea, Disney Cruise Line requires that all Guests participate in the Mandatory Emergency Drill on embarkation day. Please check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the start time of the Mandatory Emergency Drill. At the start time, the ship’s alarms will sound, and everyone is required to make your way from your stateroom to your Assembly Station to check in. Crew Members will demonstrate how to don your lifejacket. However, you are not required to bring or wear your lifejacket to the Assembly Station. This 30-page printable activity booklet is complimentary and available for Guests, available for download in the My Disney Cruise section at Sailing With Kids on a Disney Cruise. It features information for younger cruisers on what to expect from a cruise vacation. The arrival/boarding process, the Mandatory Guest Assembly Drill and highlights of the Disney experiences on board are all included. There are also fun activities children can do before and during the cruise along with helpful vacation tips for families to make the most of their vacation time at sea.

Some theaters and dining locations feature audio and visual experiences that may be unexpected. If you have specific questions or concerns, contact Special Services at least 60 days in advance of sailing to discuss additional options.Once on board, should you need additional information or wish to discuss seating options for theater or dining experiences, please contact Guest Services for assistance.Crew Members will be available to assist Guests at the entrance to the Walt Disney Theater beginning 30 minutes prior to show times. Some of the shows may feature sudden flashes of light and strobe effects, loud sounds and the use of stage fog. Guests may request to hold an adequate number of seats in the theater if a member of their party has a disability that impacts their early show arrival. However, these seats must be released at showtime if there is a demand for seating. To minimize the disruption to the performers and other Guests, seats located in the back of the theater are recommended for those Guests who may need to come and go during the performance.Family Movie Fun Time, in the movie theaters, is an opportunity to enjoy a family feature film in a relaxed environment. The ship will leave some lights on and turn the volume down as audience members are welcome to talk, leave their seats, move about and (most importantly) have fun!

If a family member’s disability impacts their ability to wait for a Disney Character, the Guest party should wait in the queue while the Guest requiring assistance waits elsewhere with another family member to reunite with their party when it is their turn to meet the Character. Single parents or guardians who are unable to use this option should notify a Character Greeter for assistance.

To reduce expected wait times, Guests are advised to arrive just prior to opening or return near closing. Alternate entrances to these experiences are not available.

To ensure a smooth debarkation process upon returning to the homeport, please have all debarkation documentation, including customs forms (where required), prepared and readily available in advance of leaving the ship. Guests needing additional assistance in the terminal, please contact the nearest Crew Member. There are 3 debarkation options.<ul><li>Express Walk Off: In most homeports, Guests may carry their own luggage off the ship as soon as it clears Customs to avoid delays and lines inside the terminal. Please note that when utilizing this option, luggage cannot be placed outside of Guest staterooms on the prior evening. Additionally, porter services are not available with Express Walk-Off. For available breakfast options, please discuss with the Head Server at dinner on the night before debarkation.</li><li>Mid-Point Debarkation: Typically, the lines for luggage retrieval and Customs inspection inside the terminal subside briefly once the second seating for breakfast has begun. This may be a good opportunity to leave the ship with minimal impact.</li><li>Delayed Debarkation: Guests may remain on board (although not in their stateroom after 9:00 AM) and debark after most Guests have left the ship. Please pay attention to the final announcement calls for debarkation.</li></ul>

Youth Club Age Groups Our youth club programs provide the opportunity for children to discover something special at delightfully themed onboard youth clubs. The secured Disney’s Oceaneer Lab and Disney’s Oceaneer Club are open only to children ages 3 to 10. Activities are held in separate areas for tweens (ages 11 to 14) and for teens (ages 14 to 17). Guests over age 18 years are welcome to enjoy our adult-exclusive events as well as family events on board.Secured Programming Guidelines Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities programs are available to children who are fully toilet trained, able to individually participate within our counselor-to-child ratio groups and can interact socially and comfortably with peers of their own age and physical size. We are unable to provide one-on-one counselor care, a counselor with specialty training or counselor-assisted medical attention.Children who can self-address their personal medical needs can carry medically necessary supplies on their person, or they can store them at the youth club front desk. Additional participation guidelines and restrictions may apply in order to maintain a secure youth entertainment environment.Open House Open House is an opportunity for all to come and participate in a variety of Disney Cruise Line youth club programs. During this time, favorite programs are offered, and friends and family of all ages are welcome to come and participate. Consult the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for hours and program details.Check-In / Check-Out Process During secured programming, children ages 3 to 10 who meet the participation requirements will wear an Oceaneer Band to assist with check-in and check-out procedures. An authorized adult will be required to check-in or check-out. In the tween and teen venues, children are able to enter and exit during operating hours without restrictions.Hygiene When children enter the Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, they’ll wash their hands. At the entrance, children place their hands and forearms inside special handwashing stations, and soap and water automatically spirals around to clean them. If a child is uncomfortable using the station, sanitized wipes are available. All spaces have restrooms available within them. Please note that the toilet system on board uses a vacuum system that makes a loud noise when flushed.Lower Demand Times in Spaces Once aboard, Youth Activity Counselors can assist with providing recommended times when the spaces tend to be in less demand. Typically, the most activity in the spaces is mornings during sea days; in between dinner seating times; embarkation and the last evening prior to disembarking.Programming Spaces have many different programming offerings. Some activities might have louder noises or music as well as flashing or bright lights. Additionally, from time to time, Characters may be in the spaces. The spaces have activities that include Model Magic, iPads, headphones, and toys such as magnet tiles and Mr. Potato Head. In order to best assist, please alert a Youth Activities Counselor of specific needs or concerns.From time to time, Crew Drills will occur while on board that do not require Guests to participate. However, the youth clubs will take the opportunity to practice with the children in the unlikely event an actual alarm were to occur. During the Crew Drill, if an authorized adult would prefer to pick up his or her child, they may do so following normal check-in and check-out procedures.Disney Cruise Line Navigator App In order to be able to contact authorized adults while children are in the youth clubs spaces, Counselors will send notifications via the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Please be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you leave home and log in once on board the ship.

Fill out the Lost and Found Report through Chargerback, our third-party lost-and-found service provider, and we'll do our best to assist you in finding a lost or misplaced item. Please note that by selecting this option, you will be directed to a non-Disney website where a different privacy policy and different terms of use will apply.Once you’ve reported a lost item, you’ll receive an email notification from Chargerback with your Lost Item report number. Chargerback will then provide information from your report to Disney Cruise Line so we can look for your item and return it to you if it is found. Chargerback will also email you periodic updates about the status of your search.Keep in mind, items may be subject to shipping restrictions. Guests with disabilities have access to comfortable staterooms and suites, along with a full range of services, facilities, and amenities, including auxiliary aids, on every Disney Cruise Line ship and Disney's private island paradise, Castaway Cay.If you or a member of your travel party has a disability or special medical needs, please complete and submit the <a href="https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/my-reservations/extras/special-services/">Request Special Services form</a>. ASL interpretation and Service Animal requests require advance notice. The Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny offer Communication Staterooms with built-in communication features for Guests with hearing disabilities, including:<ul><li>Doorbell</li><li>Smoke detector with visual indication</li><li>Indicating panel with light signals for doorbell, telephone calls, general alarm and fire alarm</li><li>Vibrating bed shaker under the mattress for doorbell, telephone calls, general alarm and fire alarm</li></ul>Keep in mind, portable communication kits will not be available on either the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure or Disney Destiny.

Most public spaces on our ships—including theaters, restaurants and shops—are wheelchair accessible. Accessible public restrooms are also available. Wheelchair-accessible staterooms feature a 32-inch entrance door and a wider path of travel inside the stateroom. Typical staterooms have a narrower entrance door (23 inches) and may not have the interior space to accommodate mobility equipment.Please note the following regarding the use of wheelchairs and mobility devices on a Disney Cruise Line ship:<ul><li>You must provide your own wheelchair or other mobility aid and arrange for the rental, delivery and pickup of that device to and from the ship on your own.</li><li>Certain activities, like accessing a pool or using a tender boat to visit a port of call, require Guests to transfer out of their wheelchairs. Disney Cruise Line offers a number of services for Guests with hearing disabilities, including scheduled American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters for a variety of onboard shows and entertainment. Our Sign Language service supports a schedule aligned with the Main (first) Dinner seating and the Second (late) performance in the Walt Disney Theatre.ASL interpreters are shared by all Guests requesting the service and must be confirmed by the Disney Cruise Line Special Services Department by the stated submission deadlines or interpreters cannot be provided. Disney's Oceaneer Lab and Disney's Oceaneer Club are designed for kids ages 3 to 10 years old. Edge provides a space for tweens (ages 11 to 14) and teens (ages 14 to 17) can experience Vibe.Our Youth Activity programs are available to children who are fully toilet trained, able to individually participate within our counselor-to-child ratio groups and interact socially and comfortably with peers of their own age and physical size. We are unable to provide one-on-one counselor care, a counselor with specialty training or counselor-assisted medical attention.Epinephrine injector medication must be in the original container with the expiration date and labeled with the child’s name, instructions for use and name of the child’s physician. If the epinephrine injector is not in the original container, a hard copy of the prescription with the child's name, instructions for use and the name of the child's physician can be accepted as a replacement.Additional participation guidelines and restrictions may apply and are established to provide a safe and secure youth entertainment environment. Open House hours are also available so the entire family can join the fun and participate together.For an additional fee, group childcare is available for children ages 3 and younger; we do not provide childcare in Guest staterooms.

Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of internet packages—including family and pay-as-you-go plans. Package costs are based on data usage.Please note that due to satellite connectivity and the technology involved, onboard wireless internet service will be noticeably slower than what you may be accustomed to and may at times be interrupted or unavailable. Guests who monitor/maintain a medical condition wirelessly should be prepared to utilize alternate means to manage their medical condition throughout the sailing.

Please note: The minimum age to sail aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is 6 months of age on the day of sailing; however, the minimum age for Transatlantic, Panama Canal and Hawaii itineraries is one year of age on the day of sailing.

Families traveling with babies and young children have access to a host of onboard services and amenities:<ul><li>Complimentary diaper disposal units, bottle warmers, bottle sterilizers, cribs and playpens are available upon request from the stateroom host or hostess.</li><li>Complimentary strollers are available at Guest Services.</li><li>Complimentary Pack-n-Play portable cribs are available.
