With Direct-to-Room service at Disney Resort hotels, you can:
- View your reservation
- Simplify your arrival
- Bypass the Front Desk
- Receive real-time room-ready updates, including your room number and arrival instructions
- Have digital access to Resort hotel maps
- Use your MagicBand or the My Disney Experience app to unlock your door
- Begin the fun and magic of your vacation even sooner

Follow these simple steps to enjoy Direct-to-Room service at your Disney Resort hotel:
- Link your Disney Resort hotel reservation to your Disney account in the My Disney Experience app.
- Before your arrival day, use Online Check-In service in the My Disney Experience app.
- On the day of your arrival, check the My Disney Experience app to get real-time Resort reservation updates - including a notification when your room is ready.
- When your room is ready, the My Disney Experience app will give you the room number and allow you to unlock your door. If you have an active MagicBand, it can also be used to enter your room.
- When it's time to check out, use the Express Resort Checkout service to save time and bypass the Front Desk.

All Disney Resort hotel Guests can take advantage of Direct-to-Room service.
If you use Online Check-In service in the My Disney Experience app, you can receive real-time room-status updates online, on your mobile device or in the app—plus, a notification once your room is ready.

- 3:00 PM for Disney Resort hotels
- 4:00 PM for Disney Deluxe Villas
Prior to checking into your room, you can gain access to certain areas of your Disney Resort hotel—such as the pool—with the unlock door feature in the My Disney Experience app or an active MagicBand.
If you have a Disney dining plan, you can also start using it before your room is available. Enjoy a refillable drink mug, tasty snack or a delicious meal at any of the eligible dining locations in your hotel—or anywhere your plan is accepted.
Disney Resort hotel Guests have the option to purchase MagicBands up to 6 days before arrival at special pre-arrival prices. You can also purchase a MagicBand or MagicBand+ online or at select merchandise locations at Walt Disney World Resort.
Active MagicBands—including those from a previous visit—and Key to the World Cards can be used to unlock doors at your Disney Resort hotel. You can also use a MagicBand or MagicBand+ for the following, if applicable:
- Park admission
- Room charges
- Dining plan meal redemption
In addition to using MagicBands or cards for theme park entry, there is now another option: a Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience app. Disney MagicMobile pass is a convenient and more contactless way to access MagicBand features, like theme park entry, through the power of an eligible iPhone, Apple Watch or Google Pay-enabled Android phone.
If Guests with Disabilities require assistance, they can visit their hotel Front Desk, where Cast Members are available to help.
Cast Members in the lobby entrance area and at the Front Desk are happy to assist with your arrival, regardless of whether you choose to use Direct-to-Room service.
If you experience difficulties unlocking a door with the My Disney Experience app, you can also get help by tapping “Call Resort Hotel” on the Hotel screen in the My Disney Experience app.
If you require help once you have entered your room, please press “Front Desk” on your Disney Resort hotel room phone for personal assistance 24 hours a day.
