PROPERTY RULES
E komo mai! Welcome to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa! To ensure an enjoyable experience for all our Guests, please respect the following rules:
- All persons, bags, parcels, clothing and other items may be subject to screening/security checks.
- We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other item and to deal with any unattended object, bag or luggage in such way as we consider appropriate.
- Firearms, ammunition, knives and weapons of any kind are prohibited. Guests who have a conceal carry permit may not bring their firearm onto Aulani Resort property.
- Smoking marijuana or other illegal substances is not permitted at any time. For the comfort of all Guests, Aulani Resort is a smoke free resort and smoking tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is not permitted anywhere on the premises. Hawaii state law prohibits smoking (including e-cigarettes) on the beach within the state.
- A $250-$500 room-recovery fee will be charged for smoking in Guest rooms or on balconies or patios.
- A government-issued photo ID is required at check-in. The government-issued photo ID must match the name that was used on the reservation confirmation. A valid credit card, debit card, or other valid form of payment will be required to check-in to cover room charges and taxes.
- Wristbands to use the pools, pool chairs, beach chairs, and other Aulani Resort amenities are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, revocable, and void if altered. The wristband must be used by the same person at all times during its period of validity.
- Each reservation is limited to a maximum of two cars. Parking rates may apply.
These rules are subject to change at any time without notice.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Firearms, ammunition, knives and weapons of any kind.
- Self-defense or restraining devices including but not limited to tasers, stun guns, pepper spray and mace.
- Marijuana (including marijuana enriched products) or any illegal substance.
- Objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons.
- Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines.
- Horns, whistles, large megaphones or artificial noise makers.
- Recreational devices such as drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, bicycles or shoes with built-in wheels.
- Electric recreational devices such as e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and hoverboards.
- Live trees (decorated and/or undecorated).
- Wheeled mobility devices with less than 3 wheels or devices that cannot maintain stability and balance when stopped, unpowered and/or unoccupied. Training wheels and/or modifications are not permitted. Devices must be manually or electrically powered and operated at a walking pace. Devices should be single rider and not exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.
- Additional prohibited items on the Aulani Resort pool deck.
- Coolers (unless for medical purposes).
- Wheeled items such as wagons or carts.
- Alcoholic beverages (unless purchased at Aulani Resort).
- Additional prohibited items in Aulani Resort pools.
- Food and drink.
- Snorkels, fins, inner tubes without a bottom, kickboards, large flotation devices without net seats, mesh rings (except for infants), dive toys and water guns.
We reserve the right to prohibit the use or storage of any other item not listed above that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion.
PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
- The sale of goods or services, or the display of goods or services, unless prior written approval has been obtained.
- The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind unless prior written approval has been obtained.
- Engaging with other Guests or impeding operations while posing as or portraying any character in costume.
- Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of Aulani Resort or any part thereof.
- Unauthorized access or entry into backstage areas or areas designated only for Cast Members.
- Unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.
- Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind, or otherwise engaging in any activity, for unapproved commercial purposes.
- Unauthorized solicitations of any kind, whether commercial, religious, educational or otherwise, or conducting any unauthorized commercial activities, including solicitations of money or other contributions or donations.
- Obstructing sidewalks, entrances, driveways, patios, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls or landings.
- Hanging any clothing, towels, bedding, lights or other similar items over or on balconies or from fire suppression sprinklers.
We reserve the right to prohibit any other activity that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion.
GUEST COURTESY AND ATTIRE POLICIES
- Proper attire must be worn at all times. We reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted.
- Costumes may not be worn by Guests ages 14 or older. There are specific costume guidelines for special events such as Halloween parties; please refer to the additional policies applicable to those events.
- Masks may not be worn by any Guests ages 14 or older (unless required for medical purposes). When worn by younger Guests, masks may not cover the entire face and must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.
- Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running.
- Guests using the pools, spas, fitness center or other Aulani Resort facilities must also adhere to the rules posted and applicable at those facilities.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Guests must vacate their Aulani Resort hotel rooms or villas at the end of their stay, on the date and time set forth in their reservation confirmation. Check-in time is after 3 p.m. for hotel rooms, and at 4 p.m. for villas. Check-out time is 11 a.m. During peak periods, check-in may be delayed.
ANIMAL POLICIES
- Feeding, petting, touching, harassing or harming any wildlife, including birds, is prohibited. Some wildlife, such as the Hawaiian monk seal and Hawaiian green sea turtle, may be protected under state and federal law and may also incur fines and penalties if disturbed.
- Service animal means a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability. All other animals, including emotional support, comfort or companion animals, are not considered service animals.
- Pets or other animals, except service animals (i.e., dogs and miniature horses, as defined above) are prohibited.
- Service animals should remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner at all times.
- Service animals are not allowed in the water—including water features/fountains – or closer than 4 feet to the water on wet decks.
POOL AND BEACH POLICIES
- Guests must wear a wristband to use the pools, pool chairs and beach chairs at Aulani Resort. A new wristband is required each day.
- Wristbands are provided only to Guests staying at Aulani Resort. The daily allocation of wristbands is based on the number of registered Guests in the Aulani Resort room, and cannot exceed the maximum occupancy for such specific room type.
- To provide equal access for all Guests, seating is limited to one lounge chair per Guest and reserving chairs is not permitted. Prior to 8 a.m., Guests may not leave belongings unattended on pool lounge chairs and leave the pool area to engage in outside activities. For example, Guests should not leave belongings on the lounge chairs and return to their rooms. During pool operational hours, Guests may come and go from their chairs. However, if belongings are left unattended on a chair for more than one hour, they will be removed and stored at the closest towel station. At the end of the day, unclaimed items will be sent to Lost & Found.
- Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- We highly recommend that children weighing 30 – 50 lbs wear life jackets while in the water. Complimentary life jackets size infant to 2XL are available (while supplies last) at our towel stations but must be returned each day before the towel station closes. A $45 charge per life jacket may be incurred should it not be returned.
- Ball throwing is prohibited on all pool decks and in all pools throughout Aulani Resort.
COMPANY RIGHTS
- Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa and its designated walkways and parking areas, is private property.
- We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.
- We reserve the right to require a person to leave Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa or any party thereof, without refund, liability or compensation, for failure to comply with any of these rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior, to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances otherwise so require, in our sole and absolute discretion.
- We may from time to time, in our sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of any facility, close Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to a facility and/or suspend or cancel any entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require.
- We reserve the right to enter any room at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose, even if the Room Occupied sign is displayed on the room door.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage of belongings or property, consistent with applicable law.
